Problematic complexion and acne
The quality of our skin is influenced by genetics and hormones. For example, hormonal changes during pregnancy are contributing factors, which can lead to oily skin. A similar situation can occur in women who use contraceptive pills. Stress and a bad choice of cosmetic products can trigger excessive secretion of oil in the sebaceous glands. While some factors increase oil production and can be easily removed, others just have to be accepted. The only effective way how to maintain a smooth complexion lies in a thorough care and cleansing. Women who suffer from oily skin can be happy about the fact that the layer of oil on the skin can be very beneficial. Such skin is more resistant to a process of ageing and has fewer wrinkles.
Acne
During puberty many people suffer from acne. This condition is very common and acne is a normal part of growing up. However, after puberty some people can be left with unsightly acne scars. In the past, the correction of scarred complexion was a very complicated process, which consisted of abrading the affected skin – dermabrasion. Today, there is a more effective method of so called ‘laser correction of scarred skin’.
Acne is a result of clogged pores of the sebaceous glands and leads to inflammation. Stagnation of the secretion in the sebaceous glands results in them being damaged and the beginning of serious inflammation and subsequent scarring.
